Octane x Circle: Building the Security Layer for Onchain Money

We’re thrilled to announce that Octane is working alongside Circle to improve the future of secure, onchain finance. As Circle scales USDC across wallets, protocols, and crosschain infrastructure, Octane is delivering AI security reviews for developers building with USDC. Octane’s solution is designed to help developers strengthen security as they build with USDC, both on a single chain and during crosschain transactions, by helping developers detect vulnerabilities early and ship secure source code. Together, we’re empowering teams throughout the Circle ecosystem to build faster, safer, and with greater confidence.

Octane AI Security Supports USDC’s Rapid Expansion

Stablecoins have become the foundation of global onchain finance, with Circle leading the way through innovations like CCTP V2, Modular Wallets, and the new Circle Gateway. These advancements make it easier than ever for developers to move and manage USDC across chains.

Mission-critical onchain finance relies on addressing technical and coding challenges, including subtle bugs, security gaps, and user errors. Reverts from blacklisted addresses, decimal precision issues, and misconfigured wallet modules can go unnoticed.

Octane is built to catch these issues early. By integrating directly into the CI/CD pipeline, Octane helps developers who are building with USDC to detect and fix vulnerabilities before they reach production.

“Circle is setting the standard for programmable, chain-abstracted money, with USDC as the backbone of onchain finance. Octane is proud to support this next phase of explosive growth, equipping developers with the tools they need to build securely and move quickly. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to making onchain finance safer, more scalable, and resilient by design,” said Giovanni Vignone, Founder and CEO of Octane.

What This Means for Developers

Octane’s AI security reviews are now accessible for builders who are part of Circle’s Alliance Program. Members can access AI-powered vulnerability detection for USDC and related smart contract infrastructure. In one recent example, Octane helped the team at Locker Money identify six vulnerabilities, including two high-severity issues, before the code ever reached production. That same level of insight and protection is available to developers building across the Circle ecosystem.

Vulnerability Detection in CI/CD Workflows

Octane’s engine now automatically detects USDC-related security risks as part of the CI/CD workflow. Our models are trained to identify issues specific to Circle’s architecture, including blacklisted address reverts, decimal precision errors, and misuse of standards like EIP-2612, EIP-712, and ERC-20. Whenever USDC or CCTP interactions are detected in a pull request, Octane runs a security analysis, flagging potential vulnerabilities in real-time before the code reaches production.

Context-Aware Vulnerability Explanations

Security findings are only helpful if developers understand them. That’s why Octane goes beyond simple detection. Using a custom context engine built from Circle’s contract architecture and documentation, our platform explains each vulnerability in plain language, maps it to its root cause, and offers tailored recommendations. Octane even generates code fixes, giving developers immediate clarity and saving hours of debugging and research.

AI Security Reviews for Circle Developers

To accelerate the adoption of secure development practices, Octane provides one free AI-powered security scan to teams coming through the Circle Alliance Program or Circle Ventures portfolio. Each review includes a full AI security analysis, explanation of findings, and recommended code fixes and improvements.

After the initial review, teams can subscribe to the full Octane platform for ongoing protection, including USDC-aware vulnerability detection and real-time insights during development.

Join Us to Protect the Future of Onchain Finance

This collaboration marks just the beginning. Octane and Circle are committed to supporting the next wave of developers building the money layer of the internet. In the coming months, Octane will continue expanding its USDC-specific detection capabilities, including deeper coverage for new cross-chain infrastructure from Circle. We’ll also launch co-branded educational content and support to help developers deploy safely.

If you’re a Circle Alliance or Circle Ventures team, now is the time to claim one free AI-powered security scan by reaching out through Circle Ventures or Circle Alliance. Ready to see Octane in action? Schedule a demo today.
